Rosneft Backs Construction of Two Sports Facilities in Bashkiria

Two multifunctional sports complexes have been ceremonially opened in Ufa, the capital of Bashkortostan. The facilities were constructed using funds from Bashneft under agreement between Rosneft and the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The new physical education and wellness complex at Gymnasium №64 named after V.V. Gorbatko, which educates 1,300 children, occupies an area of more than 1,100 square metres. The sports facility includes basketball and football pitches, jumping zones, and specialised training equipment. Thanks to professional equipment, the complex will host regular classes, training camps, and city-level competitions, as well as various educational, festive, and cultural events.

The multifunctional sports complex at Gymnasium №82, covering more than 3,000 square metres, is designed for futsal, basketball, volleyball, gym work, and outdoor athletics relays. More than a thousand students from the gymnasium will train there. The new complex is equipped with necessary sports equipment and meets modern safety requirements. The educational institution has served as a centre of sporting activity in northern Ufa for many years, hosting sports classes for both adults and children.

Supporting mass, children's and youth sports is one of the key areas of social work of Rosneft and its subsidiaries. The Company funds the construction of ice arenas, sports complexes and multi-purpose sports grounds in the regions of its operations. With Rosneft's support, dozens of modern large-scale sports facilities have been opened in Russia's regions. The Company supports projects that develop and promote physical culture and healthy lifestyles.

Thanks to the Company's support, over 30 sports facilities have opened in 16 districts of Bashkortostan since 2017. The largest include: the physical education and wellness complex in Blagoveshchensk, ice palaces in Oktyabrsky, Kumertau, and Tuymazy, a world-class skate park in Dyurtyuli, and Spartak Stadium in Tuymazy—the largest sports facility in the western part of the republic. In addition, 11 multifunctional sports and recreation centres have been built in districts and cities of the republic with the support of the Company.
