As of the end of 2017, the geography of the Company's retail business covered 66 regions of Russia, being the largest retail network in the Russian Federation, with the widest geographical coverage. As a result of Bashneft acquisition, the Company entered new geographical sales markets, significantly expanded its retail and small-scale wholesale of petroleum products. Besides, the Company has a retail network in Abkhazia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan. Rosneft fuel stations are a leading brand in Russia in terms of recognition and appreciation of fuel quality.

As of December 31, 2017, the network of existing Company fuel stations included 2891 own and leased stations, including 543 filling stations under Bashneft brand and 64 filling stations  in the Republic of Belarus, in the territory of Abkhazia and in Kyrgyzstan. The property and rented gas stations also house 1665 shops and 516 cafes.

As of December 31, 2017, the Company's retail subsidiaries were running 138 operating oil depots with a total capacity of 2.3 million cubic meters. The Company is continually striving to optimize and improve the efficiency of the oil depots.

The Company gasoline tank park includes over 1010 gasoline tankers. The Company is taking all action to reduce the operating cost of the delivery of petroleum products by tankers, including through logistics optimization.

The key focus areas of the retail business development in 2017 were increasing the efficiency of the KPIs, both through revenue and expense methods, including, on the one hand, the development of related business and small wholesale, and on the other hand, the optimization of operating costs and expenses.

Within the expansion of the non-fuel supply for the Company's customers, the number of fuel stations with operating cafes increased. In order to provide customers with a service level under the top international service standards, partner projects with Italian companies Pirelli and Autogrill are being developed.

For the convenience of our customers, we launched websites for retail (www.rosneft-azs.ru) and small-scale wholesale business (www.rosneft-opt.ru), as well as the mobile application "Rosneft Fuel Station", available both for the iOS and Android based devices.

In retail, the Company sells gasoline, diesel fuel, packaged oils and liquefied gases, as well as a line of own branded fuels.
