At the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rosneft and the Ministry of Tourism of the Udmurt Republic have signed an agreement to develop domestic tourism and unlock tourism potential of the region.
The document provides for the continued strategic partnership to create comfortable conditions for car travellers and promote the tourism potential of Udmurtia. The parties agreed to deliver joint projects in domestic tourism and to expand the range of services provided to travellers at Bashneft gas stations (a part of Rosneft retail network).
Rosneft and the Udmurt Republic have been actively collaborating to boost car tourism since 2023. A number of major joint initiatives and events were implemented during this time. Thus, a tourist car rally to the birthplace of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky took place in 2024. A column of 100 cars traveled from Izhevsk to the composer's museum in Votkinsk.
To Igra for the Weekend driving route was presented in the fall of 2025. It runs from Izhevsk to Igra, and is 120 km long. Along the route, travellers can see the Forever with Russia monument in Izhevsk, the Udmurtia State Zoo, taste Udmurt national cuisine, visit the Igrinsky Museum of Local History, and a number of other landmark and historical sites in the region.
In addition, Rosneft and the Ministry of Tourism of the Udmurt Republic, together with the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the Republic of Bashkortostan, presented an interregional tourist route called the Kama Necklace. The project encourages travellers to explore cultural attractions of the regions located along the picturesque banks of the majestic Kama River. The route, which is around 450 kilometers long, starts in Ufa and ends in Votkinsk.
One of the Company's priorities is to improve roadside and customer service throughout the gas station network. This contributes to the promotion of domestic car tourism, as Rosneft retail network is not only the largest in Russia but also a leader in brand awareness and fuel quality.
For reference:
Rosneft actively supports initiatives to develop domestic tourism - together with its partners, it has introduced over 50 routes running through 24 regions of the country.
Some of the routes are available on Russian Horizons, a Rosneft in-house information and service platform. This platform operates as a route planner enabling travellers to design their own routes running through gas stations of the Company.
Rosneft retail network includes around 3,000 gas stations in 62 regions of Russia, and in Abkhazia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and South Ossetia as well.
