Rosneft Contributes to Creating a New Training System for the Oil Industry Workforce in Bashkiria

Bashneft (part of Rosneft) has become an industrial partner of the Training Centre for the Fuel and Energy Complex. The secondary vocational education cluster was established under the federal project Professionalitet through cooperation between employers, specialized colleges, and the regional Government.
This partnership will help build a modern system of practice-oriented education based at the Ufa Fuel and Energy College, supplying the industry with highly qualified workers specializing in oil production, oil refining, and petrochemistry. Over 300 college graduates will be able to join Bashneft’s team annually.
With Bashneft’s support, classrooms at the college have been renovated, and specialized laboratories equipped with training gear and simulators for practical lessons in roles such as loading operator, process operator, and chemical analysis laboratory assistant. Student training quality will also be enhanced by a software package covering compressor station technologies and equipment within the trunk pipeline system, a gas compressor unit simulator for compressor stations, and other tools.
Targeted student training at the college covers high-demand areas, including electrical and thermal power engineering, oil refining and petrochemistry, drilling, and the operation of field and trunk pipelines.
Students will also undertake paid industrial placements at Bashneft enterprises, allowing them to acquire practical skills while still studying. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, students will work on real production tasks.
Bashneft specialists will deliver lectures and masterclasses, supervise coursework and final qualification projects, participate in examinations and state final certification defences, and take part in the work of the admissions committee.
The synergy between Bashneft experts and Ufa Fuel and Energy College teachers will strengthen the industry's personnel capacity and train specialists whose skills fully meet the requirements of modern production.
