Rosneft Hosts Third Corporate Triathlon Competition

17 August 2026

Rosneft hosted its third corporate triathlon competition in Moscow. Athletes from 38 of the Company's enterprises competed for victory in the individual and team relay events. All the competitors demonstrated impressive levels of stamina, determination and team spirit.

This year, participants in the corporate triathlon competitions had three distances from which to choose: Olympic, sprint and super-sprint. The distances varied, but each route required full concentration and significant physical exertion. A separate competition was held for 22 relay teams, with each team consisting of three people. Team members divided the swimming, cycling and running stages independently.

The Rosneft competitions took place at the Krylatskoe sports complex in Moscow. The triathlon commenced with the swimming stage in the Rowing Canal, after which the competitors continued the race with the cycling and running stages.

The corporate competition attracted athletes of different skill levels, from experienced competitors to beginners who had decided to test themselves over a triathlon distance for the first time. The oldest competitor in the event was 58 years old.

Denis Zaitsev from Samaraneftegaz and Kristina Ignatieva from RN-Uvatneftegaz were victorious in the Olympic-distance race, which comprised a 1.5 km swim, 40 km cycle and 10 km run. The winners of the sprint event, which comprised a 0.75 km swim, a 20 km cycle ride and a 5 km run, were Mikhail Ignatyev from Udmurtneft and Ekaterina Mitrofanova from Samotlorneftegaz. In the super-sprint event, which consists of a 300 m swim, a 7.3 km cycle and a 2 km run, the winners were Alexander Osipenko, representing RN-Vankor, and Ekaterina Ilyina from the Saratov Oil Refinery.

For the second consecutive year, the Udmurtneft team secured first place in the relay, while the RN-Vankor and RN-Proyektirovaniye Dobycha teams also achieved podium finishes.

Congratulations to all the winners and participants of Rosneft’s corporate triathlon!
