Rosneft Employees Join the Victory Dictation International Historical Campaign

24 April 2026

More than 1,000 employees of Rosneft's enterprises participated in a nationwide patriotic campaign in various regions of the country, including oil fields above the Arctic Circle, on flights to work shifts, at universities, libraries and other places.

Each year, employees of Rosneft across all regions where the Company operates respond enthusiastically to the campaign. Participation in the Victory Dictation pays tribute to our grandfathers and great-grandfathers who fought on the battlefields and worked tirelessly behind the lines to secure victory, as well as an opportunity to explore our country's great heritage in greater depth. The Company facilitates participation in the campaign by offering the option to complete the dictation in person or remotely.

The employees at RN-Northwest are aware of the enterprise's history and take part in the dictation every year. Despite the harsh conditions of the Siege of Leningrad, workers at the city’s oil depots continued to supply fuel to the transport sector, the navy, industry and urban and rural agriculture. Thanks to the resourcefulness of the staff at the Ruchyi oil depot, it was never hit by enemy aircraft during the war – a backup depot was built in a short period of time, whilst the main depot was completely camouflaged. The oil workers had to rebuild the decoy facility on more than one occasion, whilst the real oil depot remained hidden from the enemy.

This year, for the first time, RN-Chernozemye staff participated in the initiative, completing the dictation in training rooms at the enterprise's oil depots, transport workshops and offices.

In Novy Urengoy, ROSPAN INTERNATIONAL staff and schoolchildren from the Rosneft Class participated in an in-person event held at the Central City Library. In the lead-up to the event, the oil workers organised a series of themed meetings. These meetings included discussions on historical materials, as well as quiz nights and literary evenings dedicated to the 1941–1945 period.

For the second consecutive year, employees of Udmurtneft participated in a dictation at Udmurt State University, a partner institution of the enterprise in the fields of education and industry.

The Syzran Refinery employees joined this historic initiative for the third time. In anticipation of Victory Day, the refinery employees organised a series of patriotic education sessions for the secondary students, centring on the topic of “Bearers of Victory.” The enterprise's history is inseparable from the Great Patriotic War. The refinery was founded during the war years, ensuring an uninterrupted supply of fuel to the front.

A patriotic campaign was also held north of the Arctic Circle, at the Russkoye field. The employees of Tyumenneftegaz and Sakhalinmorneftegaz-Shelf also participated in the initiative.

Bashneft-Polyus' employees had the opportunity to test their knowledge of the country's military history whilst on board helicopters transporting shift workers. During the flight from Naryan-Mar to the R. Treb and A. Titov fields in the Nenets Autonomous District, the oil workers participated in a quiz.

The employees of the Ryazan Oil Refining Company organised a historical and patriotic event of their own. They selected an excerpt from a book written by journalists about the people of Ryazan who defended the Brest Fortress for their dictation. The book commemorates the 85th anniversary of the war's outbreak and details the tragic events surrounding the defence of the Brest Fortress in June 1941. Among the fortress's defenders were many natives of the Ryazan Region who were serving in the troops stationed there. Many of them fell in the early days of the war, fighting to the last bullet.

Staff from RN-Vankor, Verkhnechonskneftegaz, Orenburgneft, the Novokuybyshevsk Petrochemical Company, Bryansknefteprodukt, Saratovnefteprodukt, and the RN-Proyektirovaniye-Dobycha and RN-Geology Research Development institutes.

Preserving historical memory is an integral part of Rosneft's corporate culture. The Company's staff pay tribute to the Soviet people's heroic struggle against fascism. Rosneft's enterprises are implementing initiatives to preserve the memory of the oil workers' heroic deeds during the war and their selfless efforts in the post-war years.
