The Company’s RN GEOSIM geological modelling software suite has been updated by experts from the Ufa-based research institute and Rosneft’s Centre for the Development and Implementation of Knowledge-Intensive Technologies.

RN-GEOSIM version 3.0 has been developed to offer enhanced capabilities for creating large 3D models for the geological modelling of unique fields, such as the Priobskoye and Samotlor ones. It is now possible for models to incorporate complex geological structures, such as dip-slip faults, wedge zones and geological material layer displacements.

The latest version of the software suite has been developed to automatically create and analyse models with minimal user intervention, thereby accelerating subsurface imaging by 15%.

The economic effect of implementing RN GEOSIM is estimated to exceed 700 million roubles annually, primarily due to the elimination of third-party software costs.

The Company is currently developing 80% of its new geological models using RN-GEOSIM, and is in the process of transitioning to 100% use of the software. In 2025, over 180 models of the Company's fields had been constructed within the software suite.

Rosneft is a leader in the development and implementation of innovative technologies for the sustainable development of the oil and gas industry. Notably, it is the only Russian oil and gas company to offer its own range of import-substituting software.
