Following the implementation of energy-saving measures in 2025, Bashneft (Rosneft subsidiary) reduced its energy consumption by over 80,000 tonnes of fuel equivalent, with the economic effect exceeding 1.3 billion roubles.

It is estimated that the reduction in energy consumption in oil and gas production has amounted to over 18,000 tonnes of fuel equivalent. At the enterprise's fields in Bashkortostan, high-efficiency horizontal pumping units have been installed in the reservoir pressure maintenance system. In the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra, the primary impact on assets was achieved through the introduction of new equipment in the mechanised well fleet.

In the downstream sector, energy savings in 2025 improved by 78% compared with the previous year, amounting to 513 million roubles, or over 56,000 tonnes of fuel equivalent. The primary benefits were realised through the optimisation of operating modes for energy-intensive equipment, the modernisation of heat exchangers, alterations to the heating system for storage tanks in the product depots, and the implementation of an enhanced process control system.

In the petrochemical sector, the total savings amounted to over 5,800 tonnes of fuel equivalent, or 63.9 million roubles. A significant proportion of this was achieved through reduced fuel and steam consumption, optimisation of pipeline operations and the introduction of energy-efficient lighting equipment.

By replacing the lighting at a number of its filling stations with energy-saving fixtures and installing energy-efficient boilers, Bashneft-Retail has saved 67 tonnes of fuel equivalent.

Improvement of production asset efficiency is one of the key components of the Rosneft's strategy. The Company works systematically to rationalise the use of energy resources and reduce energy consumption, optimising electrical loads and thermal processes.
