Orenburgneft Discovers Two New Oil Fields

Orenburgneft (part of Rosneft's oil production complex) has discovered two new oil fields: the Molodezhnoye field within the Skvortsovsky subsoil area and the Yuzhno-Veselovskoye field within the Yasnogorsky area.
Exploration and appraisal drilling at the Yasnogorsky and Skvortsovsky licence areas was conducted based on 3D seismic survey results. Processing and interpretation of seismic data were performed using modern digital systems, which enhanced the quality and reliability of the resulting maps. Exploratory wells at both discovered fields have yielded commercial oil flows.
Following the processing of 3D seismic data and comprehensive interpretation, additional prospects for further exploration and appraisal drilling have been identified within the Yasnogorsky and Skvortsovsky areas. Their resource potential is expected to contribute to maintaining stable oil production levels at the enterprise in the future.
Enhancing reserve replacement efficiency and their systematic development is one of the key elements of Rosneft's strategy. To expand its resource base and ensure sustainable production in the medium and long term, Orenburgneft is successfully implementing an exploration and appraisal program.

Orenburgneft is the key production asset of Rosneft in the Volga Federal District. The company accounts for almost half of all oil production in the Orenburg region.
The enterprise's cumulative output exceeds 640 million tonnes of oil.
