RN-Yuganskneftegaz, Rosneft’s largest oil production asset, is committed to improving production and social infrastructure for employees working on a rotational basis. The Smart Township project aims to comprehensively develop shift facilities by introducing innovative digital services and creating safe and comfortable conditions. The infrastructure of the settlements was brought up to a unified corporate standard. The housing stock was modernised on a large scale during the project. There are 11 settlements at the fields, comprising 48 hostels and infrastructure facilities. The settlements accommodate more than 2,500 Company and contractor employees on a daily basis. As part of the Smart Township project, conditions are being created to enable the advanced training and professional education of employees. Distance learning technologies using virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) are being introduced at remote production sites, enabling a continuous educational process to be organised at workplaces.
Improving the availability and quality of medical care for employees is one of the Company’s key priorities. Particular attention is paid to the health of employees in remote locations, and telemedicine technologies have been introduced to connect local medical stations with leading regional and federal medical centres.
To promote general health and physical fitness among personnel, the settlements are equipped with media gyms containing specialised simulators and interactive TV panels.
In accordance with the unified quality management concept for comprehensive service provision, canteens, buffets, cafeterias and shops have been renovated and vending machines have been installed. There are 63 canteens that can accommodate more than 5,500 people per day to organise hot meals for employees. These canteens are equipped with smart cash register terminals featuring automated food recognition and contactless payment. This eliminates the need for cashier involvement, allowing for faster service. In addition, five modular canteens were installed at remote production facilities this year, with a further five planned for commissioning in 2026.
To improve employee comfort, the shift settlements are equipped with digital IP television and access to entertainment, video and audio content and e-books via wireless internet. Infokiosks have been installed for use with personal mobile devices.
Leisure and recreation facilities such as libraries, cinema halls, game rooms and billiard rooms have been set up.
