With the support of Samaraneftegaz (Rosneft subsidiary), the building of the Garmonia gymnasium in Otradnoye was fundamentally reconstructed. The renovation was carried out under the cooperation agreement between Rosneft and the Samara Region Government.

The project is aimed at supporting the education sector in the region, which is in line with the objectives and national development goals set by the Russian President in his Address to the Federal Assembly. Rosneft implements social projects aimed at developing educational institutions and initiatives in the sphere of upbringing of the younger generation in the regions where it operates.

The reconstruction of the educational centre with a total area of more than 4.5 thousand square metres was carried out for the first time in its 60 years of existence. The building’s engineering communications, structural elements, internal finishing, security system alarms were replaced. This was done taking into account the wishes of the teaching staff, students and the PTA.

Garmonia is one of the largest educational institutions in the region, with almost 800 children studying there. The gymnasium is among the winners of the All-Russian competition ‘100 Best Schools of Russia’ and acts as an innovative platform in the organisation of the educational environment. The gymnasium has a ‘Tochka Rosta’ centre, where natural science, technical activities and extracurricular courses such as ‘Spiritual Local History of Samara Province’ and ‘The ABC of Morality’ are held. Young narmen’s detachment ‘Orly’ was created in ‘Garmonia, who are on remembrance watch at the Eternal Flame on the Square of Glory in Samara.
