Major Theatrical Premieres to be Held in Ufa under Rosneft's Support

The Bashkir State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater will present the 2025 season premieres with the support of the general partner of the theater, Bashneft ( Rosneft subsidiary).
“Rosneft actively participates in significant events of Russian cultural life and makes a major contribution to their development. With the Company's participation, large-scale projects aimed at strengthening national, spiritual and patriotic values are being implemented.
As part of this cooperation, Bashopera will present major premieres of the ballet Raymonda and J. Rossini's opera masterpiece The Barber of Seville. Traditionally, the repertoire of the theater also includes world classics: ballets “Swan Lake”, “La Sylphide”, “Don Quixote”, operas “Eugene Onegin” and “The Maid of Orleans”, as well as a number of modern Russian plays, musical fairy tales and performances for children. Creative plans for 2025 include hosting the Rudolf Nureyev International Ballet Festival.
The performances of the Bashkir Academic Opera and Ballet Theater are very popular with the audience and have been gathering full halls for more than 86 years. Over the years, leading soloists of the Bolshoi and Mariinsky Theaters, renowned artists and troupes from various countries have performed on the theater's stage.

The Bashkir State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre welcomed its first audience in 1938. The theatre is famous for its distinguished artists who have conquered the Russian and world stages, including opera singers Askar and Ildar Abdrazakov and world ballet legend Rudolf Nureyev. In 1953 Nureyev was accepted into the ballet company of the theatre and it was here that he took his first steps to world fame.
