Angarsk Petrochemical Company Commissions Eco-Friendly Bitumen Loading Complex

Angarsk Petrochemical Company together with RN-Bitumen (subsidiaries of Rosneft) commissioned a new bitumen tanker loading complex. This logistics facility, built using advanced Russian technologies, has reduced atmospheric pollution and completely eliminated the release of hydrocarbon vapours into the atmosphere.
The complex allows four tankers to be filled simultaneously, with the possibility of increasing the daily load. The increased loading capacity enables the Angarsk Petrochemical Company to meet the increased demand for petroleum bitumen in the Irkutsk Region and neighbouring regions, especially during the peak season for road construction and repair.
One of the key elements of Rosneft's strategy is the introduction of advanced technologies and new solutions. The Company pays special attention to improving the operational efficiency of its refineries, recognising technology leadership as a key competitive factor on the oil market.
The facility includes a tank farm, four automated fixed loading stations, a modern operator's room and a waste vapour cleaning system during loading. The control system with light and sound signalling allows the personnel to react promptly to any changes in the technological process. Parameters, flow rates and dispatch process control are monitored remotely from the control room. The automated weighing complex ensures accurate accounting of products shipped. The system of automatic electric heating of pipelines is used to maintain the optimum temperature regime of commercial products. All the technological equipment was manufactured in Russia.
Angarsk Petrochemical Company produces various grades of road, roofing and construction bitumen for the Siberian and Far Eastern markets. The Company has been producing bitumen since 1961. Specialists in the Сompany’s own testing centre, who analyse samples at all stages of production, control their quality. The service life of road surfaces in various regions of Russia has been significantly increased through strict adherence to the specified quality level. The quality of Angarsk bitumen has repeatedly won diplomas in the national competition of the 100 Best Goods of Russia programme.
