Rosneft and the Krasnoyarsk Territory Tourism Agency have announced a joint initiative to develop motor tourism in the region. A presentation of the Krasnoyarsk-Yeniseysk motor route was held at the Rosneft filling station in Krasnoyarsk.

Rosneft is committed to the development of domestic automobile tourism and aims to create comfortable conditions for car travellers. One of Rosneft’s key objectives is to enhance the quality of its roadside assistance and customer service at its filling stations.

The newly launched route offers motor tourists the opportunity to explore the historic city of Yeniseysk, the oldest in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, which is celebrating its 405th anniversary this year. The route, “Yeniseysk the Museum City”, is 338 kilometres long and takes four days. The route offers tourists the opportunity to visit historical locations, including the village of Bolshaya Murta, which has ties to Saint Luke, a prominent figure in the Russian Orthodox Church, renowned for his expertise in surgery and science. The route also includes Kazachinskoye settlement, which is one of the oldest communities in Yenisei province, with a history dating back over 300 years. The area is home to a number of notable attractions, including the Holy Trinity Church, the sacred spring of Peter and Paul, and the renowned Kazachinskiye rapids, which represent the most challenging section of the Yenisei.

The final destination of the road trip is Yeniseysk, which has been designated an “open-air museum” due to its extensive collection of architectural monuments, numbering over 100. The city is currently under consideration by UNESCO for inclusion on the World Heritage Sites list. The city has a number of notable sights, including the house of merchant Dementyev with columns, Tonkonogovs’ house with lace mouldings, Borodkin’s house, which has been preserved in its original 19th-century state.

The Cathedral of the Dormition, the oldest church in the Yenisei eparchy, has retained its historical interior and iconostasis. The Epiphany Cathedral, Resurrection Church and the Transfiguration of the Saviour Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, offer visitors the opportunity to appreciate examples of Siberian Baroque.

The Krasnoyarsk Territory is a strategic region for Rosneft’s presence. There are 18 Rosneft filling stations in Krasnoyarsk region. The company is implementing a comprehensive retail station renovation programme with the objective of enhancing the customer experience and expanding the product range in cafés under the Zerno brand. Today, 10 new-format filling stations are already operational in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Furthermore, two additional stations will be opening in the region before the end of the year.
