The summer project school for students of Rosneft classes started at the Lomonosov Moscow State University Gymnasium. Eighty students of the 10th Rosneft classes from 16 regions of Russia began their studies. Participants in the programme were selected according to a ranking based on the results of the students’ academic performance and achievements in the Olympiad movement.
The Summer Project School is a joint project of Rosneft and Moscow State University to support talented young people. The training aims to provide students with basic knowledge of research activities and practical skills to develop and implement projects in Rosneft’s key business areas. Over the course of two weeks, participants in the programme will work on maths, engineering and science profiles, as well as taking part in creative masterclasses in robotics, 3D modelling and soft skills training.
The career guidance part of the programme is aimed at shaping students’ aspirations to build a professional career in Rosneft enterprises. To familiarise themselves with the Company’s activities, the students will visit Rosneft’s Arctic Research Centre and Rosneft United Research and Development Centre, as well as specialist faculties of the Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. Following the results of the Summer Project School, students present their projects.

In 2005 the Company created a corporate system of continuing education «School – University – Enterprise» to form an external talent pool and a constant influx of highly educated young specialists to Rosneft. Today, 2.5 thousand students in 21 Russian regions study in Rosneft Classes, supported by the Company. The training is carried out in programmes of advanced study in mathematics, physics, chemistry and computer science with the help of the best teachers.
