Rosneft sums up results of X jubilee in-company Summer Spartakiad
30 September 2014Rosneft Company has summed up the results and awarded winners of the X jubilee in-company Summer Spartakiad. The final games were held in Sochi in the Sputnik-sport sports center. This year about 700 participants from 17 teams, representing the Company’s subsidiaries, as well as the representatives of Rosneft’s central office were competing for medals. The competitions were held for 11 sports disciplines:
- mini-soccer
- volleyball
- basketball
- table tennis
- tug of war
- chess
- weight lifting
- shot put
- bowling
- billiards
- аthletics
The united Angara team with the total result of 352 points became the overall winner for the second year running. The Siberians were first in weight lifting and in shot put, a 4 x 100 m relay-race, 500 m and 1000 m track.
The second place of the jubilee Summer Spartakiad was taken by Samaraneftegaz team, which was the best in 4 x 100 m relay-race and had good results in other disciplines. It is worth mentioning that last year the team from Volga’s coasts was only seventh.
The last place was taken by Kubannefteprodukt team.
Among 18 teams, participating in final competitions, 9 were debutants. The personnel of Lipetsknefteprodukt were most successful among beginners, they got final 8 place with 222 points.

NK Rosneft is conducting large-scale work on sports development and healthy lifestyle promotion among both its personnel and citizens living in the regions of the Company’s activities. The Company is participating in building stadiums and sports facilities, supports children’s sports and sport teams. Apart from summer Spartakiads, the Company is organizing competitions in winter sports.
