He currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Doha University for Science and Technology (the State of Qatar), Member of the Board of Trustees at the Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation for Energy & Sustainable Development and Advisory Board member for GCC supreme council

He was elected Chairman of Rosneft Board of Directors in June 2023
