Novokuibyshevsk refinery in Samara Region forms part of the Samara group of refineries acquired by Rosneft in May, 2007.
The refinery started operations in 1951. The plant pioneered the production of a variety of petroleum products in Russia, including jet fuel, space oils, motor oils, etc.
Today the refinery’s primary distillation capacity is 8.8 million tons per year (64.35 million bbl). The plant refines oil from Orenburg Region, Western Siberia, and oil produced by the Company in Samara Region (Samaraneftegaz). The plant’s deep conversion facilities include catalytic cracking, delayed coking, catalytic reforming, isomerization and kerosene and diesel fuel hydrotreatment units; bitumen production and gas fractioning units.
The enterprise is continuing implementation of activities aimed at reduction of non-recoverable losses. As a result, the non-recoverable losses have been reduced to 0.75% of the summary processing volumes as compared to 0.99% in 2013.
The catalytic reforming facility and isomerization unit have been commissioned. The active construction of the hydrocracking facility is under way.
Summary Investorsments into Novokuibyshevsk Refinery in 2014 totaled 15 billion rubles net of VAT.
