The Kuibyshev Refinery is one of the largest oil industry enterprises in Samara Region. The plant has comprised part of Rosneft since May, 2007.
The construction of the Kuibyshev Refinery began in 1943, with the first oil batch refined as early as in 1945.
Nowadays the Refinery has the capacity of about 7 million tons of oil per year. The refinery processes oil produced by the Company in Western Siberia (Yuganskneftergaz) and Samara Region (Samaraneftegaz). The plant specializes in producing high-quality motor fuel. The secondary refining capacities of the plant include fluid catalytic cracking units, visbreaking units, catalytic reforming and hydrotreatment units and light hydrocracking and isomerization units, hydrogen production unit, benzene-containing fraction recovery unit.
At present the Kuibyshev Refinery is implementing the corporate program aimed at broad-scale modernization of the production. The purpose of such modernization is full transition to production of motor fuels that conform to environmental standards of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Unit.

In 2014, Kuibyshev Refinery processed 6.7 million tons of oil. The plant produced 6.31 million tons of commercial oil products with the refining depth of 60.61%.
Summary Investorsments into Kuibyshev Refinery in 2014 totaled 16 billion rubles net of VAT.
