Payroll, Motivation and Social Partnership Policy

The Company’s personnel management system is based on fair remuneration of the employees. Rosneft consistently pursues the high social responsibility policy, in particular, in terms of payroll and compensation.

The Company uses the data of generally recognized payroll and compensation overviews made with participation of major oil and gas companies in order to set the level and structure of the payroll.

Furthermore, the data of regional manpower markets are used for the purposes of monitoring the competitiveness of employees’ salaries in order to ensure timely adjustment thereof.

The Company practices a systemic approach to determining the payroll level and employees’ compensation packages subject to regional specifics of the presence of the Company’s subsidiaries, including those located in harsh climates.

Rosneft pays significant attention to the incentives program based on the assessment of employees’ performance results. It both assesses the collective component and the individual contribution of its employees into the general result. The personnel incentives system is aimed at obtaining high production results and improvement of labor efficiency.

Rosneft enjoys the reputation of the employer whose social responsibility level is rated among the highest. In order to improve the social protection of the employees, the Company has in place a collective bargaining agreement, which lists the social benefits and guarantees provided to the employees of the subsidiaries in addition to the standards of the RF Labor Law.

The priority lines underpinning the Template “Standard collective bargaining agreement” include the following:

  • social support for multi-child and disadvantaged families of its employees;
  • social support for the retired;
  • creating conditions for engaging and retaining personnel in the regions where the Company operates, which are characterized by harsh climates and in jobs with severe working conditions;
  • support for workers in personal hardship situations.

Rosneft pays special attention to enhancing the system of partnership relations with trade unions of its subsidiaries and interregional trade union of Rosneft.

The management of the Company’s HR and social issues block holds regular meetings with the representatives of the trade unions of its subsidiaries in order to discuss the concerns of the employees’ teams.

On the whole, the Company pursues a well-balanced policy in the sphere of payroll, social benefits and guarantees to build an efficient business.
